La Misión 2012 está en marcha y ya son cientos los inscriptos para esta octava edición, cada vez más corredores de otros países. Nuevamente estarán recorriendo uno de los lugares más bellos del mundo, las montañas, bosques y senderos de Villa la Angostura. Desde aquella primera misión en el 2005 ya hemos recorrido más de mil kilómetros de senderos y el espíritu, la mística y la esencia de La Misión se mantienen intactos.
Con el correr de los años que hemos pasado de ser una carrera con orientación en sus inicios a una carrera de senderismo con todo el recorrido marcado al mejor estilo Ultra Trail y esto se debe a varios factores que no podíamos dejar de atender siendo el principal la seguridad de los corredores. Como todos se imaginaran, hacer un recorrido de 160 km por las agrestes montañas de la Cordillera de los Andes es algo muy complejo y todos saben que nosotros ponemos el máximo énfasis en la seguridad del evento, distribuyendo mucho personal idóneo (patrulleros) a lo largo de todo el recorrido. Entonces para que todos vayan por el mismo sendero y estén dentro del rango de protección de los patrulleros es que decidimos desde hace varias misiones marcar el recorrido, no queremos a nadie perdido ni tratando de pasar por lugares riesgosos. De esta manera todos están dentro de nuestro sistema de seguridad y cada uno puede enfocarse en su estrategia y la planificación de la carrera porque saben que no existe el riesgo de perderse.
Como es natural después de ocho años ya hemos recorrido gran parte de los senderos que existen en los alrededores de las dos ciudades sedes de La Misión, como lo son San Martín de los Andes y Villa la Angostura. Es por eso que desde hace algunos años el recorrido pasa inevitablemente por una combinación de recorridos pasados. Sabemos que algunas personas quisieran que todos los años el recorrido sea por senderos nuevos, pero lamentablemente es imposible hacer eso en una carrera como La Misión ya que en la montaña y en una zona tan boscosa existen muy pocos senderos y no es sencillo la unión de ellos para darle continuidad al recorrido y formar un circuito seguro con lugares de acceso. Hacer cada año un recorrido totalmente nuevo es algo imposible aquí y en cualquier parte del mundo y se darán cuenta que casi no hay ninguna carrera que cambie totalmente los recorridos cada año, la mayoría de las carreras de Ultra Trail son siempre por el mismo recorrido, como lo hace la más famosa del mundo el Ultra Trail de Mont Blanc. De todos modos la combinación de recorridos o hacer un sendero en sentido contrario es algo totalmente distinto y en definitiva creemos que no importa si ya algunas vez el recorrido de La Misión pasó por un determinado sendero, estamos convencidos que lo importante tiene que ver con el saber disfrutar, aunque sea una vez por año y durante cuatro días, de la naturaleza más hermosa, de paisajes maravillosos, de los sonidos del bosque, del aire más puro de la tierra y de una experiencia inolvidable.
La Misión les brinda la posibilidad a todo aquel que se lo proponga de hacer posible algo que para muchos parece imposible. Recorrer 160 km en un máximo de cuatro días y tres noches. Ese fue desde siempre el gran desafío que propone esta carrera. Por eso es que a La Misión acuden desde atletas de gran nivel internacional que viene a competir por los primeros puestos y completan el recorrido en menos de 27 hs hasta personas comunes (la mayoría) que su objetivo es terminar la carrera y caminan unos 40 km por día, paran a dormir durante las tres noches que involucra la carrera y así pueden llegar a la meta.
Ese es el espíritu de La Misión, uno no compite contra los demás corredores, uno se desafía a si mismo porque el desafío es posible, se trata de la superación personal, de la determinación para cumplir un objetivo, de promover con el ejemplo la vida sana en contacto con la naturaleza, se trata de caminar, de caminar 160 km compartiendo momentos con otros corredores, se trata de vivir una experiencia inolvidable. Por eso dicen que La Misión es como un peregrinaje donde las personas no son las mismas después de cruzar la meta, es que lo que se vive después de completar una Misión es una recompensa inigualable que queda para siempre.
Como siempre decimos el momento es ahora, pasamos por esta vida una sola vez y debemos vivirla a pleno. La próxima Misión está en marcha y la oportunidad de hacer este recorrido de 160 km que pasa por montañas, bosques y paisajes de asombrosa belleza!.....No dejes pasar la oportunidad éste año!...La Misión es posible!

Recorrido La Misión 2012
Villa la Angostura tiene quizás la red de senderos más lindos de la Patagonia, es por eso que para nosotros es un lugar privilegiado. Ya hemos hecho dos Misiones allí y la idea para esta nueva edición es hacer una combinación de las dos Misiones pero en sentido contrario y agregando algunos senderos nuevos. Les aseguramos sin temor a equivocarnos que para todos será un recorrido "nuevo", innovador y tremendamente atractivo. Serán 160 km que estarán todos señalizados como para poder seguir las marcas tanto de día como de noche (habrá marcas refractarias) pasarán por siete diferentes valles, cuatro cumbres de entre 1800 y 2000 metros de altura, algunas veces andarán por caminos, pasarán por cuatro portezuelos (collados) y harán largas travesías por filos. Todo el recorrido estará señalizado y habrá 40 puestos de patrulleros distribuidos a lo largo de toda la carrera brindando seguridad. Todo el recorrido se podrá hacer en modalidad trekking. Senderismo puro!
La noche antes de la largada se les entregará el mapa con todo el recorrido para que puedan planificar cada día de marcha y las paradas a descansar o dormir. Habrá una "cantina" en el medio de recorrido donde podrán reaprovisionarse con comida.....Cuatro días y tres noches de puro trekking, aventura...así es La Misión, el Ultra Trail de los Andes!!!

La organización de La Misión está compuesta por más de 70 personas que se esmeran al máximo para brindarles el mejor servicio y esperan con ansias que llegue el momento de entrar en acción. Desde las chicas del registro que reciben siempre con una sonrisa a los corredores, pasando por todo el personal de logística que se encarga del armado de los campamentos, la largada y llegada, los chicos de Internet, el grupo "Elite" de Patrulleros compuesto en su mayoría por patrulleros de esquí y guías de montaña con excelente manejo de primeros auxilios y a los que se encontraran a lo largo de todo el recorrido, el grupo médico compuesto por tres médicos y varios enfermeros a los que encontrarán en los campamentos y algunos puestos de control, el helicóptero de la provincia de Neuquén con sus expertos pilotos que están siempre listos para cuidar desde el aire el paso de los corredores y realizar cualquier evacuación si es necesario, el grupo de fotógrafos y filmación, el grupo de comunicaciones, el grupo de las cantinas. Todos ellos estarán en la carrera ayudándolos y alentándolos para que puedan vivir una experiencia inolvidable!
Están abiertas las inscripciones para la segunda carrera de Trail preparatoria para La Misión 2012!!. La Half Misión "Ultra Trail del Champaquí" !! Será como todos los años en la pintoresca localidad de San Javier y Yacanto en la provincia de Córdoba, que los espera a todos con sus hermosos paisajes serranos, la hospitalidad de su gente y todo ese tradicional ambiente de pueblo detenido en el tiempo con sus típicas costumbres, su excelente gastronomía y delicadas artesanías. Nuevamente tendrán que trepar hasta la cumbre del gigantesco cerro Champaquí de casi 2800 metros de altura. La gran cantidad de inscriptos, que se preparan con entusiasmo para la súper Misión de fin de año, harán de la Half Misión un emocionante encuentro de "viejos" y muchos "nuevos" misioneros. El recorrido estará totalmente señalizado como en la Short Misión (durante la noche se verán de lejos las marcas refractarias) y habrá varios Patrulleros en lugares claves ayudando a los corredores a seguir el sendero, especialmente por la noche. Ya puedes imaginarte!!!:..... La tremenda trepada de casi 2000 metros de desnivel....o el paso por los pintorescos puestos de los paisanos del gran valle del Champaquí, donde podrán comprar comida y descansar algunas horas.....o la última trepada del recorrido a la emblemática cumbre del Champaquí.....y la interminable bajada final hasta el Hotel Yacanto.....todo en el marco de un paisaje espectacular!! ....Este año con algunas novedades: Serán 28 las horas que tendrán para completar la carrera! ....

Inscripciones abiertas para La Misión 2012
Las Inscripciones para La Mision 2012 están abiertas desde Abril. Ya terminó la primera promoción y actualmente y hasta Agosto está vigente la segunda promoción. Para todos los Argentinos la inscripción esta en pesos y por eso hoy la mejor opción es congelar el precio abonando la primera cuota y dejando el resto (congelado) para pagarlo en cuotas o todo junto en diciembre al momento de la carrera.
Los participantes de otros países también pueden pagar una primera cuota y congelar el valor pero deben abonar la inscripción en dólares tal cual les fue indicado. Cualquier duda que tengan pueden consultarnos. Deben tener en cuenta además que los que participan de la Short y la Half Mision obtienen importantes descuentos en La Mision de diciembre.

The Missión 2012 is underway and already there are hundreds of registered to this eighth edition, more and more runners from other countries. Will again be walk along one of the most beautiful places in the world, mountains, forests and trails of Villa la Angostura. Since the first mission in 2005 we have traveled over thousand kilometers of trails and spirit, the mystical and the essence of the Mission remain intact.
Over the years we have progressed from a race-oriented in the beginning to a race of trekking with all the way marked in the style Ultra Trail and this is due to several factors, being the main one the safety of the competitors. As everyone can imagine, make a course of 160 km through the rugged mountains of the Andes is very complex and everyone knows that we put the highest emphasis on safety of the event, distributing much qualified personnel (patrol) along the entire route. So for everyone to go down the same path and are within the range of protection for patrollers we decided since last year mark the route, we do not want anyone lost or trying to go through risky places. This way everyone is in our security system and everyone can focus on your strategy and planning the race because they know there is no risk of being lost.
As is natural after eight years we have traveled throughout much of the trails that exist in the surroundings of the two host cities of the Mission, such as San Martin de los Andes and Villa la Angostura in Patagonia. That's why some years the course inevitably involves a combination of past tours. We know that some people would like that every year the course will be for new paths, but unfortunately it is impossible to do in a race like The Mission because in the mountains and forest of the Andes Cordillera there are very few trails and not simple joining them to give continuity to form a circuit and secure access points.
Make an annual course, completely new, is impossible here and anywhere in the world and you will realize that there is almost no races that change the course completely each year. Most of the Ultra Trail races are always on the same course, as does the world's most famous Ultra-Trail du Mont-Blanc. Anyway, the combination of route or make a path to the contrary is totally different and ultimately we believe that no matter if some time the course of the mission went through a certain path, we are convinced that what is important has to do with the know to enjoy, at least once per year during four days, the most beautiful nature, wonderful landscapes, the sounds of the forest, the purest air on earth and an unforgettable experience.
The Mission gives the possibility to anyone who intends to make it possible something that for many it seems impossible. Walking 160 km at a maximum of four days and three nights. That is why in The Mission come to participate great international athletes who come to compete for the top ten and complete the tour in less than 27 h and other riders who are simple people (the majority) that his goal is to finish the race and walk 40 km a day, stopping to sleep for three nights that involves the race so they can reach the goal.

Course of The Mission 2012
Villa la Angostura have perhaps the most beautiful circuits of paths in Patagonia, which is why for us it is a privileged place. We've done two missions there and the idea for this new edition is to make a combination of the two missions in the opposite direction and adding some new paths. We assure you without fear of contradiction that for all will be a tour of "new" innovative and tremendously attractive. Will be 160 km of trail which will be marked so that you can follow the markings both day and night (there will be marks refractory) will go through seven different valleys, four summits between 1800 and 2000 meters high, sometimes you will walk on mountain roads, pass through four "portezuelos" (Col) and make long passages by mountain edges. The whole route is marked and there will be 40 patrol distributed throughout the race to provide security. The whole route can be done in hiking mode. Hiking pure! The night before the start will be given a map with the tour so they can plan each day's march and stops to rest or sleep. There will be a "bar" in the middle of tour where you can replenish with food….Four days and three nights of pure trekking, pure adventure ... it is The Mission, the Ultra Trail of the Andes!

The organization of the Mission is composed of more than 70 people who strive to the maximum to provide the best service and look forward the time comes to go into action. Registration for the Mission are open from April 2012. The first promotion is over and now and through August is current the second promotion. For all the Argentinians, the inscription is in pesos and therefore the best option is to freeze the price by paying the first installment and leaving the rest (frozen) to pay in installments or all together in December at the time of the race.
