"Hola, recien volvimos de la Half Mision, estuvo tremenda, muy buena, con muchos corredores, cada vez son mas los que se animan a la brutalidad del ascenso al Champaquí desde San Javier, cada vez mas se atreven y llegan a la meta, no tengo dudas que la Half o el Ultra Trail del Champaquí se convertirá en una de las carreras mas atractivas del calendario de Argentina, por el desafío que supone hacer toda la carrera en 24 hs, por el hermoso lugar, por el recorrido variado que combina caminos de montaña con senderos, por las abruptas subidas y bajadas que son una preparación ideal para La Mision final de 160 km y, debo decirlo, también por el personal de nuestra organización que se desvive para que todos puedan llagar a la meta. Las casi 300 personas que fueron y participaron se dieron cuenta que no se equivocaron y vivieron una experiencia extraordinaria. Hasta vieron un enorme meteorito que cayó muy cerca del Champaquí!!  Nuestras felicitaciones a todos por la determinacion que demostraron para superar los casi 4000 metros de desnivel acumulado! El año que viene nuevamente estaremos organizando la Half Mision Ultra Trail del champaquí en San Javier y Yacanto!!!
 
Pero ahora vamos nuevamente con "LA" Carrera de Sudamercia...La Mision de 160 Km!! Ya vamos por la 7ma edicion y nuevamente estaremos en San Martín de los Andes. Estamos planificando un recorrido T R E M E N D O,  160 km de senderos por bosques, costa de lagos, cruce de arroyos, filos, caminos madereros, cañaverales y mucha aventura! Como todos los años vamos con record de inscriptos, con muchos participantes de otros países, ya estamos practicando portugués porque Brasil pasará a ser el país (después de Argentina) que mas participantes aporta, mas de 50 !!! Pero también los hay varios de Venezuela, Colombia, Uruguay, Chile, Paraguay, Ecuador, Europa, USA entre otros!

Sede de La Mision 2011
La sede de la carrera será San Martín de los Andes. Rodeada de montañas del Parque Nacional Lanin en plena Cordillera de los Andes y situada al borde del lago Lacar, muy cerca de límte con Chile, esta pintoresca ciudad de mas de 30.000 habitantes esta preparada para recibir turistas durante todo el año. Con excelente oferta de alojamientos y gastronomia con muy buen servicio. Efectos del volcán Puyehue
Afortunadamente las cenizas del volcán Puyehue casi no han afectado a San Martín de los Andes y sus alrededores por donde pasará la carrera. Esto es así porque el volcán se encuentra al sur de ésta localidad y los vientos predominantes en esta zona de la Patagonia van hacia el Sureste, por esa razón es casi nula la ceniza caída en San Martín de los Andes. Lo que si afectó la ceniza volcánica es a los Aeropuertos de la zona, pero según pasan los días están volviendo a operar con normalidad. En esta News les daremos todas las opciones para llegar a esta ciudad. Si bien es de esperar que para la fecha de la carrera los aeropuertos estén funcionado a pleno no es mala idea que los que tengan que viajar desde Buenos Aires evalúen hacer el viaje en micro ya que es una forma muy segura de llegar a San Martín de los Andes en tiempo y forma.

Como Llegar a SMAndes

Hay varias formas de llegar a San Martín de los Andes.

Por avión:
1) Buenos Aires - Aeropuerto SMAndes:
Se puede arribar directamente al aeropuerto de San Martín de los Andes (Aeropuerto Chapelco) pero deben saber que hay pocos  vuelos a este aeropuerto desde BsAs por semana.

2) Buenos Aires – Aeropuerto Bariloche:
Esta es una de las mejores opciones siempre y cuando el aeropuerto de Bariloche comience a operar normalmente después de la ceniza volcánica. Según las últimas noticias ya estaría listo para comenzar a operar con normalidad. De esta manera habría varios vuelos diarios de distintas líneas aéreas que vuelan desde BsAs a Bariloche.
Como ir desde Bariloche a SMAndes: Bariloche está a unos 250km de San Martín de los Andes. Existen varias posibilidades para unir estas dos ciudades.
A) Desde el aeropuerto de Bariloche dirigirse a la terminal de ómnibus (está muy cerca) y tomar el Transporte Ko Ko que va diariamente a SMAndes a las 08:00 hs y a las 12:00hs
B) Otra opción es consultar con la empresa de Transporte Lanin Turismo que realiza viajes especiales desde el Aeropuerto de Bariloche a SMAndes. Mas info o reservas en esta Web: http://www.sanmartinandes.com/traslados/index.htm
C) Otra opción es que desde el aeropuerto de Bariloche se pueden juntar varios corredores y tomar un Taxi  a SMAndes.

3) Buenos Aires – Aeropuerto de Neuquén:
Esta es otra buena opción, si bien la ciudad de Neuquén está a unos 400 km de San Martín de los Andes hay varios vuelos diarios desde BsAs que seguramente son más económicos.
A) Como ir desde Neuquén a SMAndes por aire: La empresa aérea American Jet realiza vuelos diarios desde el aeropuerto de Neuquén a SMAndes. Para más info ver:  http://www.americanjet.com.ar/es/
B) Como ir desde Neuquén a SMAndes por tierra: Existen varias empresas de transporte terrestre que unen estas dos ciudades todos los días, el viaje dura 6 hs. Para mas info. pueden ver estas Web:

4) Buenos Aires – SMAndes por Colectivo (Autobus)
Esta es una opción que aunque resulte más larga en cuanto a horas de viaje es muy segura debido a que no hay cancelaciones como pasa con los vuelos y uno arriba seguro a SMAndes. Existen varias empresas con excelentes servicios que salen desde la Terminal Retiro hacia SMAndes. Todas las empresas poseen el servicio de coche cama (asientos muy cómodos que se reclinan casi horizontales) y servicio completo con desayuno, almuerzo y cena a bordo de muy buena calidad.  La empresa ViaBariloche tiene también el servicio Tutto Letto donde la butaca se reclina totalmente horizontal. Alojamiento en SMAndes:
En SMAndes encontrarán las mas variada gama de alojamientos. Hoteles de 5 estrellas a Hosterías de 1 estrella, cabañas al por mayor y varios Hostels de muy buen nivel. La Carrera 2011
El recorrido ya esta diseñado y solo nos resta esperar que se vaya la nieve del invierno para limpiarlo. Como todos los años será muy exigente, serán 160 km con gran cantidad de desnivel acumulado, mas de 8000 metros en total, y con una gran variedad de terrenos. Senderos en el bosque, largas travesías en alta montaña, borde de lagos, cruce de arroyos, caminos, etc. La Misión es una carrera de Senderismo y de autosuficiencia donde todos deben ir por el mismo recorrido. Para eso recibirán un mapa con todo el recorrido marcado y una hoja con instrucciones que les permitirá planificar bien la carrera desde la noche previa a la largada. Las instrucciones son para ir leyéndolas durante la carrera ya que explican bien por que sendero se debe ir, especialmente en las bifurcaciones. De todas maneras el recorrido estará señalizado y habrá varios Puestos de Control estratégicamente ubicados para que todos vayan por el mismo sendero. Esto es así porque a partir de ahora ya no es posible que dentro de un Parque Nacional haya gran cantidad de personas masivamente caminando a campo traviesa o fuera de senderos. Para poder hacer una carrera como La Misión, que reúne muchas personas, todos deben ir por senderos autorizados. Es por eso que no podemos permitir que haya una libre navegación y es por eso que La Misión es una carrera de Senderismo donde el gran desafío es hacer al recorrido de 160 km superando todos los obstáculos naturales y desniveles y llegar a la meta en menos de 76hs. Esa es La Misión!
 
Equipamiento
En la página Web figura todo el Equipamiento Obligatorio, entre las novedades para este año está que el calentador y la olla no serán obligatorios. Respecto a la radio VHF, el que no tenga la suya propia la podrá alquilar al momento del Registro con la empresa Davicom (habrá suficientes para todos).
 
Cantinas
Esta año habrá una sola Cantina que estará aproximadamente en la mitad del recorrido. Durante el registro en los días previos a la carrera podrán adquirir los vouchers para luego cambiar en la Cantina por un plato caliente de guiso, hamburguesas y/o bebidas. Esto es asi para saber de antemano quienes van a comer en la cantina y podamos calcular mejor las cantidades.
 
Inscripciones Abiertas
Las Inscripciones siguen abiertas, y aunque se acabaron las promociones con descuento se puede abonar la inscripción en tres cuotas, para ello deben enviar la Solicitud de Inscripción desde la web http://www.lamisionrace.com.ar/2011   y recibirán la respuesta con los datos del valor de la inscripción, la forma de pago en cuotas y la cuenta para realizar el depósito.

"Hi, we recently returned from the Half Mision 80K, was tremendous, very good race, with many runners, every year more runners who encourage the brutal ascent of Cerro Champaquí from San Javier, every year, more those who dare and reach the finish line. And had the luxury of seeing a huge meteorite that fell near the Champaquí! Congratulations to everyone who showed the determination to overcome almost 4000 meters of altitude accumulated. Next year we are again organizing the Ultra Trail of Champaquí or Half  Mission in San Javier and Yacanto!
 
But now we go again with "THE" Sudamercian Race....La Mision 160 Km !!! We're in the 7th edition and again we are in San Martin de los Andes. La Mision 2011 Headquarters

How to arrive to SMAndes
There are several ways to get to San Martin de los Andes.

By plane:
1) Buenos Aires - Airport SMAndes:
You can arrive directly at the airport in San Martin de los Andes (Chapelco airport) but you should know that there are few flights to this airport a week from BsAs.
 
2) Buenos Aires - Bariloche Airport:

The Race 2011
The course is already designed and we just hope to go the winter's snow cleaning. As every year the race will be very demanding, will be 160 km with lots of depth accumulated over 8000 meters in total, and with a great variety of terrain. Hiking in the woods, long trips in the mountains, lakes edge, crossing streams, roads, etc. La Mision is a trail race and self-sufficiency where everyone must go by the same route. You will receive a map with all the route marked and you also receive written instructions that will enable them to plan well the race from the night before the start. The instructions are to be reading during the race because this explain that path should go, especially at junctions. Anyway, the course will be marked and there will be several checkpoints strategically placed for all to go down the same path. This is because from now it is not possible within a National Park has large numbers of people walking across the field off trails. To make a Race as La Mision, which brings together many people, all racers must to go by paths authorized. That's why we can not allow a free navigation, that is why La Mision is a race of trail where the great challenge is to make the course of 160 km overcoming all obstacles and natural slopes and reach the finish line in less than 76hs. That is the mission!
 
Equipment

Canteens
